The Wild Backroads – Curtis and Linda Ghent are brother and sister with a shared passion for photography. Curtis loves photographing landscapes and Linda pursues her photography passion by photographing the wild horses of the west.
Curt’s first love is Rocky Mountain National Park with its varied terrain from alpine meadows to the open tundra. He never thinks twice about hiking for hours in the dark just to photograph a sunrise or the milky way. His dedication to his craft is reflected in his stunning images. Curtis doesn’t stop at pressing the shutter button and capturing the image but he completes his images by mounting them onto natural slate or oxidized porcelain tile. Some of his newest images are mounted onto a dye infused aluminum float plaque. All of his images will make for a stunning addition to your home or office.
Linda has an intense passion for both the domestic horse and the wild horses of the West. Most people would love to vacation in Europe or some exotic place but the ideal vacation for Linda is tracking wild horses through dusty sage brush to muddy watering holes. Linda doesn’t just capture images of wild horses but embeds herself among them, absorbing their energy, watching their social interactions and mingling her breath with theirs on a frosty morning. Wild horses will let you rest in their stillness as they exist in a state of deep listening, and that can be mesmerizing and rewarding. Each image Linda shares is a glimpse into that stillness, their wild freedom, and the soul of the horse.
