Eisenberg, Gregory Forber, Stéphane Krumenacker, Robert Phillips, Raven Rohrig, Christopher Spinney, and W. Max Thomason. The public is invited to visit with the artists during an Opening Reception on Friday, Jan 17, 6-9 p.m., and to view the exhibition First Friday, February 7, 6-9 p.m. or during regular gallery hours Tues -Sun, 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
In addition to the visible galleries at Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe, there are equal number of artists working diligently on their creative practices, often behind closed doors. While some have work that is exhibited in Bitfactory or other places on Santa Fe Drive, they don’t all actively showcase their work in the area. Gallerist Bill Thomason wanted to further the recognition of the artists and artwork that make up the district. The resident artists of Bitfactory Studios specialize in an array of disciplines, consisting of acrylic painting, clothing design, ink drawing, jewelry design, mixed media, and oil painting. They also embrace a variety of styles and aesthetics encompassing abstract expressionism, figurative art, realism, political art, pop art, surrealism, symbolism, and textile.
Bitfactory Gallery, located at 851 Santa Fe Drive in the heart of Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe, exhibits work by the best emerging and up-and-coming local, national, and international visual artists, striving to showcase art that may not be a good fit for other galleries. They also host one major or renowned artist a year, bringing new and exciting work to Denver. The building also houses Bitfactory Studios with the vision of providing a helpful, friendly working atmosphere for artists and Block Gallery, a pop-up gallery space available to rent in one-, three-, or seven-day blocks. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. and by appointment.
